Sticky Music turn to label head Mark Evemport for their next EP - a four track affair that showcases his accomplished house sound.
Mark Evemport inherited the passion for music from his grandfather, a classical musician. At the age of 16 he bought his first turntables by a friend and, from that moment he started to discover the world of house music. Inspired by the great masters like Louie Vega, Kerry Chandler and Jerome Sydenham, his desire for novelty and strangeness led him to explore all the musical landscapes, from techno to electronic, remaining always very close to his roots, the classic house sound.

Up first here, Thatcher is a subliminally deep track with rubbery bass and neon synth patterns. Its paranoid and will seep its way into your brain with its freaky spoken word vocals. Kara is then a more prickly and populist jam with haunted chords and groaning pads slithering along next to soft focus toms. Etienne is then a humid, jungle sounding jam with busy but subtle drum patterns and organic found sounds littering a spacious and deep and hubby house groove. Finally, Dial is a downbeat and gritty, lo fi and textural roller that again cocoons you in warm sound. This is a cultured house EP from Mark Evemport that really puts the competition to shame.
